Hello, greetings! I am Marina Ormes the founder of Astrology Heals at astrologyheals.com and today I want to talk about why understanding the Moon sign—the zodiac sign that the Moon is in—is so important for healers.
If you are a healer, are you paying attention to what sign the Moon is in? Because the Moon sign gives us an indication of how we feel, what’s going on, and what is the energy or the mood of the day.
The Moon changes sign about every two to two and half days. You will want to find a Moon calendar we have a Moon planning calendar at astrologyheals.com that you can get when you sign up for our email list.
You can find the sign of the Moon, and at any given time it is going to tell you the mood of the day. The mood of the day is so important for us as healers to be aware of, just in the back of our minds, to know what is a feeling of this day.
There are four different elements: earth, air, fire, and water. Earth, air, fire and water correspond with body, mind, spirit, and emotion, and as we know as healers, these are the different dimensions of our wellness.
We need to be well in body, mind, spirit, and emotion to feel that sense of wellness in our whole selves. Knowing the sign that the Moon is in helps us to support ourselves so that we can be more present and more. And of course also our clients and patients.
Knowing the Moon sign helps us to understand what our clients and patients might be experiencing, and what they need on any given day.
When the Moon is in an earth sign, that corresponds with body, and the earth signs are Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn. When the Moon is in an earth sign, that’s when people will most benefit from taking action to support their physical well-being.
This could include changes in nutrition, changes in habits, bringing in anything that’s supportive for the body, or supportive for the body’s healing and any kind of ways that you can offer support for that.
During an earth Moon, it’s about taking action specifically through supporting the physical well-being.
When the Moon is in an air sign, that is more about thinking and processing information. So when the Moon is in air sign, people need to understand. They need to have their questions answered.
They need to understand what’s going on with their health and what they should be doing. They need information. They might need somebody to talk about it with, so they can process their own ability to understand and make sense of what’s going on.
Air signs are a good time to share information, ask and answer questions, and engage in dialogue with your patients and clients.
Of course that’s going to support you as well because the energy of the universe when the Moon is in air sign is supporting the exchange of information and ideas.
When the Moon is in a fire sign, that’s when we have action and movement, so this is going to support clients’ spirits, and their ability to feel good and have joy. It supports life force energy.
Fire signs are perfect for movement, wherever your patient or client is ready for movement. Whether that’s running a marathon or simply sitting up in bed, whatever ways you can support the appropriate movement and action steps for your client are going to be really effective on a fire sign.
And of course taking action will be good for you as well, things like supporting yourself in taking action and maybe making a suggestion for someone to move forward or take the next step, in whatever way it’s time to push things forward just a little bit.
When the Moon is in water sign, water is about our emotions and so feelings can be present. And as we well know, often times there are emotions connected with the healing process.
Water Moons are a really good time to be present to emotions and to be aware that there may be things that need to be felt. Things may be moving through. There might be a need for some tears or some grief or just moving forward with the flow. There might be some laughter.
There also could be some emotional reactivity, such as when people are suppressing their emotions. Sometimes the emotions might come out in unexpected ways.
Just being aware that people might be a little more… are feeling things, are more reactive, especially if they aren’t as adept with working with their own emotions.
The same is true for you. You might be feeling things when the Moon is in a water sign, so being aware of that and supporting yourself in processing whatever feelings may be coming up for you so that you don’t end up being reactive or projecting things onto other people can be really helpful.
